Stemming from my love of rock and indie music, I created a series that depicts the atmosphere and the momentum of the UK’s rock and indie scene in 2022-2023.
The photos capture everything from the crowd to the bands, whilst the central music video ties in the moving visual elements of music that are more meticulously planned than the images of pure spontaneity that take place at those very same live events.
The photos shown in the exhibition are part of a larger series and include my favourite image from this portfolio to date, titled “The Hunna 3”. The Hunna was my favourite band from my teenage years. That image in particular captures not only the raw thrill of the show but the flood of excitement from behind the lens.
